EXAMPLES OF AVAILABLE SEMINARS

Forgiveness
What is forgiveness? How do I know when I have forgiven someone? The basic message is that forgiveness is both an act of the will and a process of healing.
Sermon “What is True Forgiveness?”
A four-page resource is provided on true and false forgiveness.

Grief and Loss
The most natural of human experiences, loss is one of the least understood.
Much illness and depression goes back to unresolved loss or stuck grief.

A brochure on “Understanding Grief” covers the four tasks of mourning.

Depression
By 2010 it is estimated that depression will be the number three reason for absence from work due to illness.
Why is it that depression seems to be on the increase and what does it mean?
Sermon “To Bind Up the Broken Hearted”.
A written resource is provided on depression types and causes.

Communication
So much damage is done in relationships because we don’t communicate well. What does it mean to hear and be heard? Connection is the key to communication and this is explored in depth.

Families – Functional or Dysfunctional
Some of what we think as good families are actually dysfunctional. How do we know that we are creating emotionally healthy homes and families?
Sermon “Families Where Grace is in Place”.
A written resource is provided on functional and dysfunctional families.

Anger and Rage
Why do Christians seem to imply that anger is always a sin and yet have the example of Jesus who was angry yet without sin? How does a person express anger without sinning?
Sermon Be Angry… But Don’t Sin”. A written resource is provided on anger and rage – when it is a problem and when it is an asset.

Abuse and Emotional Trauma
Much of the pain that human beings carry stems not from the sin we have committed but from the sin committed against us. But how can we repent of something we haven’t done? What is the biblical remedy for such damage?
Sermon “The Other Side of Sin”.
A written resource is provided on understanding abuse and trauma.
